The Smart One - ABC

From the superstar producing team of America’s talk show queen Ellen DeGeneres and ugly Betty’s Donald Todd comes an all new ABC sitcom The Smart One. The Smart One tells the story of the Swann sisters, two completely opposite ladies living in separate cities living separate lives who are thrown together again. The series will open with Candy Swann Cooper played by Malin Ackerman (27 Dresses, Watchmen) the “popular” Swann sister becoming the mayor of a small city. The Swanns mother (Jean Smart) then persuades her genius but anti-social sister Judith (Portia de Rossi the star of Fox’s legendary Arrested Development) to come live with them and help her sister with her new position. This has all the makings of a classic sitcom filled with rich story lines, brilliant production and most importantly a star studded and amazingly talented cast.
