Acting Auditions for Play – Bridgeport, CT

Are you ready for the chance to star in a theatre production? Have you always wanted to feel the rush of being on stage in front of an audience? Downtown Cabaret Theatre is holding auditions for their production of “1984”. Open call auditions are being held. Rehearsals for the production are scheduled to take place between January 2nd and January 31st. Live performances will be held on the weekends between February 1st and February 17th. All actors must be at least 17 years old due to the mature subject matter of the play. Those who are unable to audition but still want to apply can email the casting director a headshot and resume. About “1984”

What if one thought cost you everything? 1984 is the un-nerving stage adaptation of George Orwell’s dystopian masterpiece. 1984 brings us the story of Winston Smith, a cog in the giant machine state of Oceania. Under the close eye of Big Brother, Winston has been caught struggling for scraps of love and freedom in a world awash with conformity, distrust, control, and violence. With the brutal “help” of four Party Members, Winston is forced to confess his Thought-crimes before an unseen inquisitor, and the audience — which acts as a silent witness to his torture. One of the most widely referenced and best-known fiction titles of all time, 1984 makes the dark implications of unchecked, out-of-control state power feel urgent and real.

How to Audition

Open call auditions are being held on November 13th. For those who can’t attend but want to apply can email a headshot and resume for consideration.  The information is below.

The rehearsal schedule for Main Stage Theatre is generally Mon-Thurs from 6:30pm-10pm and for most productions, Sunday evenings 5-9pm or some afternoons, based on cast and directors’ schedules).

Detailed Information

Every move in the commercial is a coordinated move, much of it as with our samples above a symbiotic or “liquid” relationship between the dancers and the external stimuli.
Even just their walking will be a reflection of their personal basis in Urban or or Hip Hop
or Contemporary or Popping/Boogaloo or…

The result will be a Fusion of styles including Flexing,Jookin and whatever some of those signature ripples-in-a-pond or boneless liquid fluidity and other whimsical new moves.

Kids & Teens Casting Call – Nationwide

The acting casting call is for the new television series “Endlings”. Casting directors are scouring the United States, Canada and UK to find the perfect kids for the new series. Casting Call for Actors

Are you looking for an acting job? Timeless Tales of Fairview Cemetery, now in its ninth year, is a guided tour throughout the cemetery and highlights the lives of some of New Britain’s most notable former residents. Actors, both professional and novice, are sought out to portray these individuals. If you have experience acting in the past, or are new to acting, Timeless Tales is great place to gain additional experience, work with a great group of individuals, and learn more about what New Britain has to offer. We encourage anyone who is interested in acting to give us a call and setup an acting audition date. We are accepting auditions up until October 12, 2017 or until our positions our filled.

About Timeless Tales of Fairview Cemetery

For two crisp nights in October, patrons are taken on a lamplight tour through the grounds of Fairview Cemetery. On their journey, guests and guide alike are greeted by some of New Britain’s most historic and accomplished former residents who have come to rest at Fairview. This year’s tour will include visits from some of New Britain’s most notable past residents from the Stanley Family, which include Chloe and Melvina Stanley, Colonel Gad Stanley, F.T. Stanley, and A.W. Stanley.

What They Are Looking For

Additional actors will be needed as well for extras and tour guides. This event is put on by the New Britain Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department in CT.

Auditions take place by appointment at New Britain City Hall (27 West Main Street, Room 302, New Britain, CT 06051).

How to Apply

Interested parties should call Matt Scofield at 860-826-3358 during office hours of Monday – Friday, 8:15am – 3:45pm to schedule an audition time. Actors must be available from 5:00-10:00p.m. during the dates of October 18-21, 2017 for the dress rehearsal, performances, and rain date. Reality TV Show Casting Call

Now casting a fun new reality pilot for a major broadcast network. The upcoming reality TV show casting call is searching for people to nominate someone they know who is talented and needs help with their big break! Filming will be in the New York tri state area in late September/ early October. The team is looking for friends and family to nominate kids, teens and adults. They are open to those between the ages of 10 and 90. The series will give the opportunity to showcase their talent and help make their dreams a reality. About Surprise Opportunity

We’re looking for great people with great stories and talents to be on this new pilot, and with your help, we’ll give them a surprise opportunity to showcase themselves and make their dreams come true!

What They Are Looking For

Do you have a friend or family member (age 10-90) who is extremely talented at something, but hasn’t gotten the chance to show their talent or skill to the public, or be rewarded for that talent or skill or work, for one reason or another?

Maybe they’re an amazing opera singer, or an impressive athlete/dancer, or a brilliant artist.

Or maybe they have a great idea for a business and need help getting it going, or they’re an awesome teacher/coach, or they’re a comedian or motivational speaker who deserves a wider audience.

Shoots in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) in late September/early October. If you’re selected, the production will reimburse you if you need to miss work to be at the shoot.
