Casting directors are on the search for men and women between the ages of 25 and 38 years old. The team is looking for professional dancers to star in the shoot. Every move in the commercial is a coordinated move, much of it as with our samples above a symbiotic or “liquid” relationship between the dancers and the external stimuli.
Even just their walking will be a reflection of their personal basis in Urban or or Hip Hop
or Contemporary or Popping/Boogaloo or…

The result will be a Fusion of styles including Flexing,Jookin and whatever some of those signature ripples-in-a-pond or boneless liquid fluidity and other whimsical new moves.

TV Show Kids Auditions

There is a new audition for child actors who are looking for their breakout role to stardom. PBS is now casting kids for lead roles in their popular show “The Odd Squad”. Kids who are between the ages of 10 and 13 are now being cast for two new agent roles. Filming will be in Toronto and auditions are being held by self submission videos.

About “The Odd Squad”

Each episode of ODD SQUAD includes two 11-minute cases in which the agents investigate weird and unusual phenomena around them and use math to put things right. From recapturing a gallon-sized blob that has separated into smaller pieces, to dealing with a slew of unicorns, dinosaurs and wizards that have escaped from books, there is no occurrence that is too strange for the Odd Squad as they face off against various villains that wreak havoc around town. What They Are Looking For

Casting directors are seeking boys and girls for two lead roles in the show. They are casting kids and young teens who are between the ages of 10 and 13. The show is filming in Toronto.
Agent Opaganda: Male or female. Ages 10 to 13. Any ethncitity. This role calls for a child who uses a wheelchair. [Production would like to cast someone who actually uses a wheelchair.] Only send in a self tape submission if you match those specs.

Agent Opaganda is a super serious agent who will sometimes say things in a way that sounds like he or she is trying to be friendly and helpful, but when you listen closely they’re not very helpful at all. Unlike Opaganda’s more deadpan partner, Opaganda is enthusiastic about his or her work and thinks that busting people on rules can be very enjoyable. This is a principal role.

Agent Oke: African, Canadian. Male or female. Ages 10 to 13 years old.
Agent Oke is a super serious agent who is dry, blunt and a stickler for the rules. Oke is not mean, he or she is just doing their job, and just isn’t that interested in your feelings. Oke doesn’t really get jokes, but does sometimes laugh at things that aren’t funny. His or her social skills aren’t the greatest. This is also a principal role.

There is a new television commercial for Healthy Minds Canada that is looking for boys ages six to ten years old. Healthy Minds Canada is a national charity that has been around for 35 years. The TV commercial will feature a spot with a mother breaking through a glass wall to get to her son.  It is a non-speaking commercial.  The shoot is filming in Toronto, Ontario.

About the Commercial

The commercial is for Healthy Minds Canada. Healthy Minds Canada (HMC) is a national charity in the mental health and addictions space. Since 1980, HMC has funded over 400 research projects at 42 universities and teaching hospitals across Canada and has reached tens of thousands of people through knowledge transfer initiatives such as workshops, symposia, printed and online resources and hundreds of thousands more through social media.

The spot will be a 15 second, no sound video of a mother attempting to break through a glass wall to get to her child. The production team is donating their time to produce this project. This is a great opportunity. While this particular shoot is not paid, selected actors will not only contribute to a charitable cause, but the production team frequently reuses their actors for paid jobs.

But Vera is a multitasking marvel, exploring all the fascinating aspects of this world and figuring out who she wants to be, while making sure the Guardians fulfill their mandate to protect and defend cyberspace. As an odd duck new human, Vera will provide a lot of comedic relief. About ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’

The first book of this series, written by Daniel Handler, became popular soon after its publication. The author went on to write twelve more books in the series.  After its commercial success and critical acclaim, Paramount Pictures created a movie in 2004 based off the book starring Emily Browning, Meryl Steep, Jim Carey and Jude Law.

The books have sold over 65 million copies around the world.  Now, the Paramount Pictures and Netflix are bringing these characters on the small screen for the upcoming TV Series ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’.

This series will be executive produced by Barry Sonnenfield and Daniel Handler, the writer of the novel. The story features three orphans; Sunny, Klaus, and Violet Baudelaire.  After their parents pass away, they are sent to live with the evil Count Olaf who puts them in his custody to steal their inheritance.  The three orphans try their hardest to uncover the mysteries of their parent’s death by outwitting Count Olaf at every step.

Do you want to be a part of the opening of one of the largest theatres in Toronto?  Do you believe that relationships become more complex over time as new factors come into play?  Now is your chance to be apart of an amazing project about relationships.

A new theatre is set to be opened in Toronto and casting directors are looking for two male actors to play principal roles for the grand opening of the theatre. The selected candidates will be picked for non-union paid positions.

About ‘The Odds’

‘The Odds’ is an ambitious long-term project. The story revolves around three men who attend a workshop based on relationships. The three men share their secrets and stories with each other and discover different things about their friend and themselves. These three men will meet at one of the character’s clinic.

The scenes will include tension-filled and intense moments while they discover more about each other.    They will figure out different factors that play key roles in their relationships.

Rehearsals

While the actual performance holds prime importance, the theatre crew is currently focusing on major rehearsals. The rehearsals will begin the first week of February and run through March. It is expected that the first week of April will also be booked for rehearsals. The dress rehearsals will take place on March 31 and tech and performance rehearsals will take place on April 3. The grand opening date is scheduled for the second or third week of April.

Requirements and Details

Currently two men are required to play the roles of Eric and John.

Eric

Eric is basically the counselor of the group. We are looking for a man who looks to be in his early forties to play this role.  Eric is a confident, self-sufficient, and an energetic married man with five children. He loves his job so much that he often works too hard and ignores the immediate needs of his wife and kids. This causes tension at home between him and his wife.  He is driven by the passion of helping others but he also believes in following the rules and restrictions of his profession.

John

The man playing John must look like he is in his early thirties. He runs a store and is also relatively happy with his profession. He does however have a temper which he easily loses when someone provokes him. He is married with no children and he likes to please people, but is also a strong proponent of justice.
