TV Show Casting Call – New York City, NY

Are you looking for a teen acting casting call? Do you want to gain some experience on the set of a major television series? The HBO series “The Deuce” needs you! Season 2 is now filming. A teen audition notice is looking for males and females ages 14 through 19 years old. Both SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent with no experience can apply. Extras will be portraying 1970’s high school students. This shoot will be in Long Island, New York on Monday, April 30th. This date is subject to change. Chosen talent will need to attend a wardrobe fitting before the shoot. The fitting will be in Queens.

The pay rate for non-union teens is $143.00 for 10 hours. Because this shoot is for minors, teenagers must have a valid New York child performer work permit. Keep in mind, the team needs boys and girls who can pull off the look of the 70’s. Boys must have hair that is 2 inches or longer. No current hairstyles like shaved sides, edging, fades or buzzcuts. Girls should have shoulder length or shorter hair. Females shouldn’t have any highlights, ombre or shaved sides. About The Deuce

The show follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early ’70s through the mid ’80s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world that existed there until the rise of HIV, the violence of the cocaine epidemic and the renewed real estate market ended the bawdy turbulence of the area. The series is partly inspired by the career of twin brothers, Vincent Martino and Frankie Martino. [Variety]

What They Are Looking For

GWC is seeking SAG/NU 14-19yr old teens to portray 1970s High School Students for Season 2 of the HBO series, The Deuce!

Tentatively works on Monday 4/30 (but date is subject to change!)
Will be shooting in the Long Island area.
Costume fitting TBD prior to work date in Queens, NY.
Especially seeking locals to Long Island area!
SAG bg rate applies to SAG members.
NU bg rate: $143/10hrs.

Please note the following:
Minors must have valid NY child performer work permit and trust account!
All must have valid ID to fill out I9.
Should be local to NY area

All hair must be 1970s appropriate!
2+ inches in length for boys! (NO edging, shaved sides, fades, buzzcuts, etc)
About shoulder length or above for girls! (NO highlights, ombre, shaved sides, etc)

The Deuce is a series that deals with life in NYC/Times Square in the 1970s. The show often depicts characters involved in prostitution, pornography, drug use, organized crime, etc. Minors will NOT be exposed to any of this subject matter while on set for this scene, but we want to make sure you are comfortable with your child appearing in this type of show!
