About The Dinner Detective

We are an interactive murder mystery dinner show set in modern day with no costumes required. This is a paid position, and you will get tips in addition to your base pay. No campy dialogue. This is an improv based show, with locations all across the US. Time commitment for regular shows is 4-6 hours including a pre-show rehearsal. No weekly rehearsals required, you rehearse immediately before the show only when you are scheduled to work. Roles rotate depending on actor availability collected & scheduled on a 1 month basis.

What They Are Looking For

Comedic actors, performers and improvisers that are comfortable interacting with audience members in semi-scripted situations. Our shows are set in a modern-day environment, and for the most part, you will be expected to blend in with the audience.

We are also looking for talented and organized hosts to run the show, manage props, and deliver speeches to the crowd.

About Water, Inc

Water is the new oil and in the not-too-distant future, a single farm in New York State sits atop the last clean, freshwater aquifer in North America. About Finding Nemo

Based on the hit animated movie, this must-“sea” adventure makes a splash with spectacular music and stunning theatrical puppetry. After his son is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, a timid clownfish sets out on a journey to bring him home.

What They Are Looking For

Applicants must be at least 18 and authorized to work in the United States.

Dory – Female. Mid – 20s. A forgetful, yet very optimistic lady fish and Marlin’s companion during this journey. Extremely quirky and an expert with comedic material. Character singer, comfortable flying at heights. Must weigh less than 183 lbs.

Nemo – Female. Early 20s. Plays youthful boy. Adorable, endlessly curious, spirited, childlike and fearless, yet at the same time naïve and vulnerable. Bright and youthful mix or belt.

Bruce – Male. 30s. A vegetarian great white shark. Can go from screaming rockers to an elegant soft shoe. Comedic baritone and able to handle harmonies.

Crush – Male. 20s – 30s. Laid back and fun-loving “surfer dude” turtle. Wise old father with the ability to rock. High tenor, must have effortless, sustained, full voice/mix high ‘C’. Marlin – Male. Mid – 20s. Over-protective yet very loving father, vulnerable. Huge heart, great comedic talent. Scared of virtually everything. Baritone, able to handle musical ‘patter’ and flying at heights. Must weigh less than 183 lbs.

About the Murder Mystery Company

We are an interactive murder mystery dinner show set in modern day with no costumes required. This is a paid position, and you will get tips in addition to your base pay. No campy dialogue. This is an improv based show, with locations all across the US. Time commitment for regular shows is 4-6 hours including a pre-show rehearsal. No weekly rehearsals required, you rehearse immediately before the show only when you are scheduled to work. Roles rotate depending on actor availability collected & scheduled on a 1 month basis.

What They Are Looking For

Comedic actors (20+), performers and improvisers that are comfortable interacting with audience members in semi-scripted situations. Our shows are set in a modern-day environment, and for the most part, you will be expected to blend in with the audience.

We are also looking for talented and organized hosts to run the show, manage props, and deliver speeches to the crowd.

Timeless Tales of Fairview Cemetery, now in its ninth year, is a guided tour throughout the cemetery and highlights the lives of some of New Britain’s most notable former residents. Actors, both professional and novice, are sought out to portray these individuals. If you have experience acting in the past, or are new to acting, Timeless Tales is great place to gain additional experience, work with a great group of individuals, and learn more about what New Britain has to offer. We encourage anyone who is interested in acting to give us a call and setup an acting audition date. We are accepting auditions up until October 12, 2017 or until our positions our filled.

About Timeless Tales of Fairview Cemetery

For two crisp nights in October, patrons are taken on a lamplight tour through the grounds of Fairview Cemetery. On their journey, guests and guide alike are greeted by some of New Britain’s most historic and accomplished former residents who have come to rest at Fairview. This year’s tour will include visits from some of New Britain’s most notable past residents from the Stanley Family, which include Chloe and Melvina Stanley, Colonel Gad Stanley, F.T. Stanley, and A.W. Stanley.

What They Are Looking For

Additional actors will be needed as well for extras and tour guides. This event is put on by the New Britain Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department in CT.

Auditions take place by appointment at New Britain City Hall (27 West Main Street, Room 302, New Britain, CT 06051).

Kids Theatre Auditions

Do you have a child who loves to perform? There is a fun new audition opportunity for them! Child actor, singer and dancer auditions are being held for the upcoming production of Junie B. Jones the Musical, JR.! Casting directors are searching for kids and teens ages 6 through 18 years old. The team is seeking children who love to sing and dance. It’s Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie’s friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting!

What They Are Looking For

We are looking for excellent storytellers ages 6-18 who love to sing and dance for this very brief rehearsal process!

Rehearsals September 23-October 7 (scheduled around availability).

Tech October 8-12. Performances October 13-22.
